The Upperclass Division is open to students in

11th and 12th Grade and has two categories -

solo and etude.

*Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the 2021 Texas Trumpet Competition will not follow a traditional competition format.  No placement/winners will be determined.  The competition will exist for comments and suggestions only, giving the students valuable feedback and allowing them another virtual performance opportunity.

SOLO DIVISION

For the 2021 Texas Trumpet Competition, Upperclass Division contestants are welcome to submit a video recording of their own choice from which to receive feedback and suggestions from Dr. Fairfield.  The solo should be (though not required) from the TMEA PML which can be found here.  Choose "event code" 301 - Cornet/Trumpet Solo.

$20 per entry

Registration

To register, please submit the following form. Please use a separate form for each entry - for example, if a student wishes to submit a video of a solo piece and an etude or multiple etudes, etc... and pay using the button on the right.  Once registration form and payment are received, you will receive a confirmation with instructions on how and where to upload the video submission.
